WHAT?

The mascot of this site is based on a virtual youtuber design I made a while ago, which in itself is based on my persona.
The vtuber was mostly just made on a whim, starting out as a sketch I made when discussing with friends what type of vtubers we'd be, and then slowly being polished into an actual thing.
It's still a work in progress on its own, but I liked the design enough to doodle it sometimes. When I was thinking of what to do for my nekoweb page, it just seemed natural to use the design I can doodle easiest as a temporary thing, and now I'm kinda hooked on it.
I thought it suited nekoweb's vibes, just ignore that it's a wolf, not a cat.

"So why not just use it once it's done?" you may ask. To that, my answer is simply that I've never wanted to be a content creator. I can't talk in front of strangers, and I don't really have hobbies that suit the format. My design is doomed to never be used.

I don't actually watch vtubers anymore, although I used to be a big fan back in 2018-2020. My favorite at the time was Inugami Korone, back when she debuted.
But yeah, I'm not a fan anymore, it just got a bit too... cringe? I physically can't bring myself to watch English vtubers because they're a lot more obvious with how cringeworthy they are.
I learned how to make avatars in Live2D at the time, though, and now I just kinda have those skills without a way to use em. Hence making a fake vtuber on a whim, LOL.
